  ORDERING, SHIPPING & PAYMENTS OVERVIEW  
 

We tried eCommerce, but natural Seashells are not mass products by definition - it's not a good fit! Most customers have a preference or query when ordering.

HOW IT WORKS:
All PRICES on this website are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD), not incl. GST (Goods & Services Tax = 10%)

NO CATALOGUE
We sell SPECIMEN SEASHELLS for collectors - and DECOSHELLS for crafts, decoration & interior design.
We also sell BOOKS about seashells. Our stock changes so quickly that we do not offer a printed catalogue - it would be out of date almost immediately.

NO ONLINE ORDERING FORMS
We prefer order by email - no online ordering form or shopping basket, as eCommerce is not a good fit for our huge product range. Ordering by email takes a little longer, but it allows you to add your own comments to your order (i.e. colour or size preferences) - great for specimen shell orders and decor projects!

MINIMUM ORDER
Minimum ordering value: $ 30.00 (+ GST, not incl. shipping cost).

GST
Australian Goods & Services Tax (10%) is applicable to all Australian domestic orders. AU customers will receive a quote incl. GST. All Intl. orders / overseas export will be quoted tax-free.

ORDERING BOOKS
Please send us an e-mail, fax or letter with the title(s) and QTY you wish to order.
Please include your mailing address and contact phone nr. for a trackable shipping quote, so we can send you an offer with available payment and delivery options to your destination.

ORDERING DECOSHELLS / STARFISH
Please send us an e-mail, fax or letter with QTY and type of shells or starfish you would like to order.
Please include your mailing address and contact phone nr., so we can send you a quote incl. available payment methods and shipping cost to your destination.

ORDERING SPECIMEN SEASHELLS
Please e-mail, fax or mail us with a list of QTY & type of shells you would like to order. You can specify preferences (colour / pattern, etc.). Please include your mailing address and contact phone number for a trackable delivery quote.
Specimen seashell ordering may require additional text description per item, as each shell is unique. To help you order exactly what you want, we have established the following 3 steps:

3 EASY STEPS VIA COPY & PASTE (you can send us a handwritten fax or letter instead, but this method will save time!)

1 - SELECT: Open any pricelist and scroll down to your desired shell listing. Select the ENTIRE ROW featuring name, location, description, grading and price of the species you want. To select, keep your left mouse-button pressed and drag your cursor across until all you want is highlighted, then release the mouse button. You will find the text you just highlighted still selected. No problem if you make a mistake - just left-click your mouse again elsewhere on the screen to de-select - and try again.

2 - COPY: Right-click your mouse on the highlighted text. From the pop-up menu, select COPY with a left-click of your mouse. This copies only your highlighted text.

3 - PASTE: Go to our contact page and click on the e-mail link. A new e-mail window will open on your screen. Type a subject (i.e. "Specimen Order") in the subject bar. Put your cursor in the message space. Right-click and select PASTE from the pop-up menu with a left-click of your mouse. Your selected bit of text will now appear in your e-mail window.
Repeat these steps for additional items from our lists to paste into the same message.
Add any comments (i.e. preferences) for your order as you like. Please include your mailing address and a contact phone nr, so we can quote on trackable delivery of your order. Send your message - done!
We will reply to you ASAP with an offer incl. shipping cost that will include all available payment options.

TIPS:

- If you like, paste into a file (WORD, EXCEL, PDF, etc.) for step 3 - and attach the file to your email instead.
- Want to order a lot of species from a single pricelist? Simply select & copy the entire list into your e-mail / file. Then just DELETE the rows of species listed that you don't want to order - quick & easy!
- Problems with formatting? Some email programs don't like copied format - but no worries! If your email looks a bit strange, don't worry - we will figure it out.
- Want to send us a pic / mobile screenshot / any images of what you would like to order? That's fine too!


DISCOUNTS & WHOLESALE

Most items listed in the Decoshells section (Seashells, Starfish, etc. for Decoration) will offer you multiple item ordering discounts. But there's more: We do not distinguish between wholesalers and the general public, instead offering everyone the same even better whole order discounts based on total order volume - see here:

SHIPPING

We ship anywhere in Australia and worldwide. Check here if Australia Post ships to you - if they do, we will too! All our product prices include handling/packaging. Although fragile shells may require really careful handling, packaging & double-boxing, etc. this is included in the price. We will commence assembly and packaging of your order once we receive payment.

DOMESTIC SHIPPING
No packaging or handling fees. Before we ship your order, a pro forma invoice will be e-mailed to you with a detailed invoice incl. shipping quote to your destination.
 

STANDARD Delivery / Tracking

We will automatically ship your order by the most economical shipping option, based on parcel weight. Our default option is Standard Australia Post Service (trackable, delivery against signature) charged at flat rates (max. 15kg per parcel). The Service system sends automatic tracking updates to your email address as soon as the parcel is lodged, delivery time is quoted at max. 5 business days to Australian destinations.

 

EXPRESS Delivery / Tracking
If your order is urgent, please request Australia Post EXPRESS Service shipping, which will be charged at flat rates, based on parcel weight (max. 5kg per parcel). It's a fully trackable service offering automatic delivery updates to your email address as soon as your parcel is lodged, with delivery against signature quoted within max. 3 business days incl. Saturdays to Australian destinations.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
No packaging / handling fees for worldwide delivery. All International orders are evaluated individually to ensure we are quoting the best possible (most economical) and trackable shipping option for your destination. Options include:

 

STANDARD AirMail Delivery / Tracking

We will quote International shipping via Standard Australia Post AirMail (Standard AirMail) by default. This service is trackable via www.auspost.com.au and delivery to most destinations worldwide is estimated at 6-10 business days.

 

EXPRESS AirMail Delivery / Tracking

Please request Australia Post Air Express shipping (Express AirMail) if you would like faster customs processing and delivery against signature, incl. automatic delivery updates. Also manually trackable via www.auspost.com.au with delivery to most destinations worldwide is estimated at 4-5 business days.

 

International Delivery Times
Australia Post generally advises delivery to most destinations in Asia as 4-5 business days, USA and Western Europe as 6-10 business days via Standard AirMail (pending customs and security screening time on arrival). For comprehensive up-to-date delivery info & news, incl. potential delays due to COVID, please visit the Australia Post website www.auspost.com.au!

IMPORTANT International Customs / Duty Notice:
Australian Seashells will export tax-free goods when shipping your order from AU. Please be aware that tax / duty may apply for importing goods to your destination on arrival in your country and check applicable local duty rates.

 

International Courier Shipping
We can ship via your own preferred courier (TNT / EMS / DHL). Please advise details when placing your order if you would like to use your own courier account for shipping. Most worldwide Courier deliveries will take 4-5 business days from date of lodgement, pending fast-tracking of customs / quarantine inspection. NOTE: Courier delivery services require a physical street address for delivery (no PO Boxes).

PAYMENT METHODS (DOMESTIC)

CREDIT CARD
We accept domestic Australian VISA or MasterCard payments. Please contact us - phone, fax (dedicated fax line to our secure office) or e-mail us with your card details (we require your name, address & contact phone nr., card number, CVV code and expiry date). We will acknowledge receipt of your details, process your payment immediately as a standard internet order and will get your shipment incl. tax invoice/receipt underway for you at once - if possible on the same day, otherwise on the next business day.

EFT / BANK TRANSFER
We accept bank transfers of your Australian Dollar payment directly into our business account at the NATIONAL AUSTRALIA BANK. Please contact us for our bank details.

CHEQUE
We accept Australian personal or bank cheques (Australian Dollars only) made out to AUSTRALIAN SEASHELLS PTY. LTD. 

CASH
We accept cash payments (Australian Dollars only).

NOT ACCEPTED
Diners, AMEX, BankCard, EFTPOS, Domestic PayPal, B-PAY, Western Union (or any other payment methods not listed above).

EFT / BANK TRANSFER
We can accept international EFT bank transfers (AUD - Australian Dollars ONLY) to our business account at NAB (National Australia Bank - please contact us for our bank details).
To convert your invoice amount (AUD) to your own currency, we recommend XE.COM Currency Converter.

CHEQUE
We can accept personal or bank cheques in AUD made out to Australian Seashells P/L.
We can accept personal or bank cheques in USD (value at least 200.00 USD and above!), made out to Mr. Hugh Morrison only.
NOTE: We can only accept cheques with machine encoding on the lower edge (NO non-encoded cheques, sorry!).

PAYPAL
We accept PayPal payments in AUD from Intl. customers only (NOTE: 3.6% surcharge applies to help cover PayPal 3rd party fees). Please request a PayPal invoice!

CASH
We accept cash payments (AUD, USD or EURO)

NOT ACCEPTED
Diners, AMEX, BankCard, EFTPOS, B-PAY, Western Union, bank drafts or cheques in other currencies (or any other payment method not listed above).

REFUNDS / MONEY-BACK GUARANTEE
We acknowledge that Specimen Seashells are by definition highly individual objects and there is still no better way to evaluate a Specimen Shell than holding it in your hand and looking at it. We are offering you a ‘Money Back Guarantee' for all our Specimen Seashells, which means that you can return any of them for a refund (or online shop credit if you prefer that) to the full value of the item(s) returned, excluding shipping cost. In short, if you do not like the shells we have selected for any reason, you can send them back for a full refund or exchange if you wish.
